The three largest natural rubber producing countries in ANRPC (Association of Natural Rubber Producing Countries), namely Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia continue the rubber supply control policy to the world market.

“We will continue to control the supply of natural rubber to the world market to prevent prices from falling again to protect the three million rubber farmers in the three countries,” said the minister of plantation industries and commodities, Malaysia, Bernard Giluk Dompok, in Kuala Lumpur, Tuesday.

Former chairman of the Indonesian Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Agency (BKSAP) Abdillah Toha said it was time for Asean and Indonesia in particular to help Thailand overcome its problems.

“Indonesia Had better IMMEDIATELY lead (action to help Thailand) before the Impact spreads to other countries in the Southeast Asian region (ASEAN),” the BKSAP chief from 2004-2009, said to AFP here on Friday.
